FAQs About Paying for Your Pet’s Emergency Care

At Emergency Veterinary Hospital, we understand and empathize with figuring out how to pay for your pet’s emergency care costs. We want to provide you with as many resources as possible and have answered our most frequently asked questions about payment options.

What payment options are available?

We accept a wide range of payment options including cash, all major credit cards, and Apple Pay. We also accept payment plans through Scratchpay and CareCredit.

What is Scratchpay?

Scratchpay helps make large veterinary bills easier to manage through payment plans. Signing up for Scratchpay only takes a couple of minutes and can be done straight from a smartphone—you might even get signed up while you’re waiting for your pet to be examined and treated.

Scratchpay has a variety of payment options so you can find one that works for you and your budget. One of the most popular payment plans is their Take 5 program. With this plan, you only pay 20% of your bill upfront, and then another 20% every two weeks until it’s paid off.

Are there other resources available for funding emergency pet care?

The Humane Society has a variety of recommendations when it comes to affording unexpected veterinary care for your pet. For help raising funds, they suggest Waggle, a crowdfunding platform exclusively for vet bills. They also have a list of breed-specific rescue groups that might provide financial assistance for specific pet breeds.

Here at Emergency Veterinary Hospital, our top priority is the health and wellbeing of your pets. Please call us today at (541) 746-0112 if you have any further questions about our services or payment programs. We’re available 24/7, 365 days a year to handle your pet health emergencies.
